Michael Stephanides, M.D.

Dr. Michael Stephanides, MD, is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician specializing in non-operative musculoskeletal care, orthobiologic treatments, and regenerative medicine. He is dedicated to helping patients restore function and improve quality of life through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Dr. Stephanides earned his Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from the University of Tennessee. Following his undergraduate studies, he conducted research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center focused on nerve regeneration an experience that deepened his interest in neuromuscular recovery and laid the foundation for his future clinical approach. He went on to earn his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in 2021.
He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University. During residency, he developed a strong interest in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal and spine-related conditions, with a particular focus on regenerative therapies aimed at promoting long-term healing and functional recovery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Stephanides enjoys staying active through tennis, hiking, and swimming. He also finds time to unwind with a good book or a game of chess.
