MRI Appointment Information
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses a magnetic field and radio waves to produce high-contrast images that help your doctor identify potential causes of pain — including fractures, nerve impingement, muscle tears, disc herniation, scar tissue, inflammation, and swelling.
Scheduling & cancellations
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
What to expect at your appointment
Before your scan, you'll complete a screening form to confirm there is no metal in your body that could pose a risk during the scan. You may be asked to change into a gown or scrub pants, and you'll be given a locker for your belongings.
We offer a wide variety of music, face masks, and other comfort techniques if you feel nervous. Our staff will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and check on you throughout the scan.
After your MRI
You'll receive a copy of your images to bring to your follow-up visit with your doctor. We'll also validate your parking at the end of your appointment if needed.
A certified radiologist will review your images and send a report to your doctor for review.
