Dr. Matthew W. Oglesby, M.D. is a board-certified physiatrist with advanced specialty training in interventional spine, sports, and regenerative medicine. His clinical expertise is centered around diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and cutting-edge regenerative medicine techniques. Dr. Oglesby is one of just 14 physicians in the state of Georgia who holds the prestigious RMSK (Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography) certification, which basically means he’s got an X-ray vision when it comes to musculoskeletal ultrasound—just without the cape.

Born and raised in Napa, California, Dr. Oglesby earned his BA degree with honors from Florida International University and continued his post-graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He obtained his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, where he also conducted research at Rush University in Chicago, contributing to over 40 research papers and book chapters focused on spine surgery. (Yes, he’s a bit of an overachiever.) Following medical school, he completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. His advanced fellowship training was completed at the renowned Bodor Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine Clinic in Napa, where he honed his expertise in orthobiologic treatments, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow concentrate therapies.

Dr. Oglesby is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His practice integrates the latest diagnostic tools, including ultrasound and fluoroscopy, to deliver precise and effective care tailored to each patient's needs.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Oglesby stays active through weightlifting and home improvement projects. He also has a rich history in competitive sports, including soccer, swimming, wrestling, judo, baseball, and triathlon. When he’s not helping patients or breaking a sweat, you can probably find him trying to figure out how to make his lawn look as good as his MRI scans.
